The “Judgement” of A Vegan

Feathers ripped out of their skin,

To wear that goose down coat you’re in,

Stuffing yourself with caviar, oysters, and foie gras

Taking lives to entertain

 your tastebuds is completely insane

Psychopathic justifications

Of torture, murder across the nations,

“Got milk” means health the adverts imply

Mean while countless mothers cry

As babies torn away are killed

or fed another kind of milk

So they produce more for profit

Mindless people drink by the bucket

Blood and pus, faeces and pain

You buy into it again and again

Every penny spent on their death,

You carry the weight of their last breath,

Your soul remembers what your mind ignores

Your turn will come at deaths door,

Review your life and the choices you made

All debts of karma will have to be paid

Have you ever thought that your next life could be,

One of these animals desperate to be free,

What if some were souls of men,

Remembering before when it was them,

who chose the death of innocent lives,

Karma put them amongst those born to die,

Compassion costs nothing, kindness is free,

Yet people fight to be cruel,

Justify abuse because “it’s all about me”

“It’s my choice” the ego cries

But what of the choice of the animals who die?

It’s not survival, it ego and greed,

Lives that need saving, lives to be freed,

You could choose better,

be ethical and kind,

Instead of playing out a brainwashed mind

Dairy and meat sells you nothing but lies,

Mmmm bacon, but lion the ignorant cry

Foolish behaviour of immature brains

They puppet and control and you act insane

Justifying trillions of lives taken each year

Refusing to admit you buy into the fear

Which side do you take, life or death?

Would you be the one to see their last breath?

Explain in their language why they have to die

Would you watch them suffer?

Would you look in their eyes?

See they feel too, the pain, joy and fear,

Watch how they struggle as they know death is near

Remember your part as you drink, eat and wear,

the lives of those innocents

who’s souls you now bare.

It’s one thing to not realise the truth,

To grow and to change when you see the proof,

It’s another to choose when you know the score,

If you choose to keep killing,

and paying for more,

making excuses, when you don’t NEED to survive,

When you could choose compassion and advocate to save lives,

You’re NOT a “nice” person if you don’t even try,

yes you are being judged as you pay for them to die.

If veganism is extreme then what you do is far worse,

Let what you willingly choose for them become your immediate curse.

The choices you make reflect back to you,

Preaching “I love animals”

When you pay for abuse,

May you wake up and see and feel all their pain,

Be haunted by their nightmares,

So you never kill again.
